Your First Trip to Las Vegas is Only Once – Make it Count!

Don’t be afraid to be a little excited about your first trip to Las Vegas. Most people are! But what is the best way to enjoy the city for the first time? What should you do, and where should you stay?

McCarran International Airport is more than likely going to be your first stop if you flew into town. Your first decision is whether or not you should rent a car. I would suggest against it unless you have plans to go somewhere that is a little distance away, such as Red Rock Canyon or Hoover Dam.

Where should you stay on your vacation? This really depends on what you’re looking for out of your Las Vegas trip. If your looking for some of the most luxurious places in the world you can them here, you can also find places that are very affordable, and everything in between. There are a few points that you need to consider when choosing a hotel.

*Do you want to stay in a super luxurious resort? Well, look into the Wynn, their sister resort Encore, or the Bellagio hotel.

*Are you looking for a really fun place to go? I would suggest Mandalay Bay, Caesars Palace, the Venetian, or Planet Hollywood.

*Looking for a place that is middle of the road, and a little more relaxed? Well you cant go wrong staying at the Mirage, Luxor, Paris, or the MGM Grand.

*Maybe you want to save a little cash. I would suggest checking out Treasure Island, the Flamingo, Excalibur, Harrah’s, Ballys, Imperial Palace, or Circus Circus.

There are both great and not so great points to each hotel in Las Vegas. You can learn more about each individual hotel by visiting my site.

Just so you know, most of the hotels are within walking distance of each other, especially if you stay in the middle of the strip. If you are at let’s say Mandalay Bay, and you are going to a show at the Wynn, you really need to take a cab though. It is very easy to determine which casinos are within walking distance of each other once you get there.

Yes, the drinks are free in Las Vegas if you are gambling. It’s a good thing too, because buying drinks in this town is very expensive. One tip on saving money on alcohol is to look for a bar with video poker machines and put $10 dollars in and start playing. The bartender will give you free drinks, just remember to tip him ($1 a drink is acceptable). This will save you a bunch of money because it’s not uncommon for a drink to cost more than $15 dollars. Even if you lose your video poker money, you are still way ahead. Another thing that people wonder about is if walking outside with an open container of alcohol is legal. The answer is yes, so don’t worry.

What if you don’t like gambling? Don’t worry, you can still have a great time in this town! Las Vegas is home to some of the best shows, the best restaurants, pristine shopping, and some of the greatest nightlife there is to offer.

For your first trip to Las Vegas, you should really see as much as possible. There is a lot to experience in this town. You need to go see as many hotels as you can, because they all have different themes. Half the fun is seeing what there is to offer in this town.

I would suggest that you see a show for your first trip. There is a huge variety including dancing, musicals, comedy, and many more. You will be really happy when you get back that you saw at least one show.

I suggest that everyone goes to at least one luxurious restaurant. Some of the most famous restaurants in the world are here, so you should take advantage!

Add a little gambling and some shopping to the mix, and you will have a trip that will make you want to come back again next year!
